SHS is happy to partner with the state and colleges around the area to provide advanced opportunities for high school students.
The Idaho Department of Education offers a variety of Advanced Opportunities for high school students. These Advanced Opportunity programs are designed to help students earn college credit while still in high school. There are a variety of programs offered, each tailored for different needs and desires. The high school counselors can help find the one that best fits the need of your teen. Whether your teen wants to take college credit courses during the school year, take advantage of dual credit classes SHS offers, or find some money to take AP tests or certification tests associated with professional-technical classes —these Advanced Opportunities have you covered.

The Fast Forward program provides every student attending an Idaho public school an allocation of $4,125 to use towards Advanced Opportunities in grades 7-12. Check it out here...FastForwardIdaho
Please contact your teen’s counselor for more info and/or help deciding which program would be most beneficial.
