Sandpoint Rocketry Club exists to provides a collaborative environment for students interested in aerospace engineering, physics, design, and competition. Ultimately, the club will help members learn about and participate in ARC (American Rocketry Challenge). Members will work in small teams to design, build, test, and refine model rockets while developing skills in problem-solving, engineering design, teamwork, and project management. The club is primarily student-led, emphasizing responsibility, initiative, and peer collaboration, with minimal staff oversight for safety and school compliance.
American Rocketry Challenge (ARC) is a nationwide rocketry competition for students. Teams build and test in the fall with qualifying flights being submitted in early spring. The top 100 teams in the nation are invited to compete at nationals in Washington DC.
