Suicide Prevention

Suicide Prevention Hotline   1-800-273-TALK

Suicide and non-fatal suicidal behavior are major public health problems across Idaho” (spanidaho.org). The staff at Sandpoint High School believes the death of anyone by suicide, but especially a student, is a critical event which requires quick and effective responses. We believe taking preventative steps is also essential in helping our students reach out for help. We have created this page to give parents, students, and teachers a resource for suicide prevention and response. If you are in despair please reach out to the Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1.800.273.TALK. Many people have found that talking helps to alleviate painful suicidal thoughts and feelings.
