School Start and Dismissal Times:
September 2025
Dear Bulldog Students, Families, and Friends,
We’re in this together! Whether you’re brand new to our Bulldog family or have been with us for years, please know that our goal at SHS is the same: to make sure every student feels safe, supported, and inspired to reach their greatest academic growth and personal potential. That kind of environment does not just happen. It takes partnership, trust, and open communication between home and school.
At the heart of everything we do is this belief: young people learn best when they are connected to adults they trust. You’ve heard your child mention a favorite teacher, coach, or mentor. Those connections are no accident. Our staff is intentional in our effort to build meaningful relationships because we know they are the foundation for the academic, social, and emotional growth we all want for your child.
As partners in your child’s growth, here’s what you can count on from our school community:
Your child will be treated with dignity and respect.
We will communicate clearly and consistently.
We will uphold school policies fairly.
We will listen with care and assume good intentions.
We will create opportunities for your child to grow, take healthy risks, and build resilience.
We will value you as an essential partner in your child’s journey.
You know your child best, and we deeply respect that. We ask that you see us as the experts in supporting students through the highs and lows of adolescence. When we meet in the middle, with trust and shared expectations, we can give your child the strongest foundation possible.
Here are a few ways you can support this partnership:
Help your child get plenty of rest and arrive at school on time.
Reach out to us if you need resources or support; we’re here to help.
Read and respond to school communications when needed.
Speak positively about school and the adults who work here—your child listens closely.
Allow room for resilience by letting them experience natural consequences.
Save communication with your child during school hours for true emergencies.
Cheer them on at games, performances, or events whenever possible.
Encourage your child to connect with trusted adults on campus.
Behind every thriving student is a team of caring adults—parents, teachers, mentors, and coaches—working together. Thank you for trusting us to be part of that team. We are honored to walk alongside your family as we inspire a culture of learning, growth, and possibility at Sandpoint High School.
With Bulldog Pride,
Jacki Crossingham
Principal Sandpoint High School
