Welcome to the SHS English Department! 


The SHS English Department seeks to provide rigorous and engaging content that is firmly grounded in Idaho State Standards. Students can expect to read a variety of literature and non-fiction texts from around the world, engage in meaningful class discussions, and show their knowledge and understanding of complex ideas through a variety of writing opportunities. The curriculum and instruction is driven by well-informed and current research and further enhanced by a well-qualified professional learning community, which results in continuity across grade levels and within the department as a whole.
