Welcome back, Bulldogs! We hope your winter break was filled with rest, joy, and quality time with loved ones. As we kick off 2026, we’re excited to feel the energy and enthusiasm our students bring as they walk through our doors. January is not just a time for new beginnings; it's a wonderful opportunity for our students to reflect and set goals for the upcoming year.

Get Involved in 2026! The new year is a perfect time for students to explore opportunities and engage in various activities. From clubs and organizations to sports and academic challenges, SHS has something for everyone. We encourage you to motivate your student to dive in and make the most of their high school experience. Every involvement enriches their journey!

Battle for the Paddle: January 16th!  Join us for one of the most exciting events of the year, the Battle for the Paddle, sponsored by our Student Leadership Team (STUCO) and hosted by Lakeland High School. On January 16th, SHS takes on Lakeland High School in a series of competitions, both on and off the court. Let’s  cheer loudly and bring the Paddle back home! Wrap Up the Semester Strong! As we approach the end of the semester, here are some tips to help your student stay on track:

• Check Schoology regularly for updates and assignments.

• Communicate proactively with teachers.

• Utilize Flex Fridays and after-school Access for extra support.

• January 23rd: Non-Student Day (End of the Semester) – Ensure all coursework is completed and submitted before this date.
