School Start and Dismissal Times:
December 2025
Dear Bulldog Students, Families, and Friends,
I hope you had a joyful Thanksgiving filled with good company and great memories. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who attended our parent/teacher/student conferences. These moments of collaboration and connection are some of the most rewarding parts of the year as we work together to support our students. Please know that teachers, counselors, and staff continue to be available to support your student’s success throughout the year as well.
This season, SHS is shining a spotlight on the incredible student leadership that is thriving across our campus. Our Student Council leaders are preparing to spread holiday cheer, adding festive touches throughout the school, and planning for their annual Toys for Tots fundraising efforts. They are also rallying school spirit as we gear up for the Battle for the Paddle against Lakeland in January.
In addition, our Mentors class is hard at work planning our December Connections Assembly, which will take place this Friday. These assemblies are designed to strengthen our school culture, build relationships, and create the sense of belonging that is so important for student success. We kindly ask families to help support this effort by keeping students at school for the full day and avoiding early sign-outs during this time. The assembly lasts only about 30 minutes, and the impact on community-building is significant.
As the end of the semester quickly approaches in January, this is an important time for students to stay focused and make the most of this grading period. Please encourage your student to take advantage of the many resources SHS offers: in-class learning, Flex Fridays, Schoology updates, and after-school ACCESS. Strong attendance, punctuality, and consistent engagement remain essential; every single day counts.
In the coming weeks, please keep an eye out for important updates shared through classes, email, Schoology, School Messenger, social media, and our website (https://sh.lposd.org). We value your feedback as well. Please take a moment to complete this brief Flex Friday Survey. Your partnership is invaluable, and we are grateful for the support you provide each and every day.
Wishing you a wonderful December filled with warmth, connection, and a continued commitment to inspiring a culture of learning.
Warmly,
Jacki Crossingham
Principal, Sandpoint High School
