Dear SHS Families,

As the days grow longer and the sun shines brighter, we find ourselves in the exciting and busy season of spring. With summer just around the corner, we appreciate your continued support in helping students stay focused during these important final weeks of the school year.

We are proud to share that two of our incredible seniors, Torin Haesle and Maddie Mitchell, recently recognized teachers Troy Minogue and Allison Sletager at the annual NISTAR (North Idaho Student Awards Recognition) for their outstanding contributions to learning. This recognition is a testament to the strong, inspiring relationships between SHS educators and students that fuel a culture of learning and achievement.

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and we are grateful to CARE, our dedicated parent support group, for leading the charge in celebrating our amazing educators. While these acts of kindness mean so much, they also reflect the collaborative effort that makes SHS a special place where every student has a team invested in their success.

Counselors are actively working one-on-one with students to arrange schedules for the upcoming school year. Juniors are wrapping up their state ISAT assessments in ELA, math, and science, and many students are preparing for AP exams. Seniors are looking forward to an exciting slate of activities, including Scholarship Night, the Mock DUI program, prom, and, of course, their long-awaited graduation ceremony.

Spring at SHS is all about balancing the culmination of a year of growth and learning with planning for the bright futures ahead. Through it all, our mission to inspire a culture of learning guides us in everything we do.
